History
The boat was commissioned Dec. 1986 in Annapolis, MD. The previous owner upgraded the rigging and other systems to handle Blue Water (ocean) sailing. I purchased the boat from him in 1994 and continued to upgrade every system, adding larger capacity, top-of-the-line Rolls batteries and other enhancements to the electrical systems, an Adler Barbour SuperCold Machine refrigeration system, outdoor stereo speakers with 370W amplifier, and a LectraSan sanitation system for the convenience of sailing in protected waters.
Ports of Call
I enjoyed several years of sailing from Annapolis and all over the Chesapeake Bay. In 1995 I took the boat for one season to Ft. Lauderdale via the IntraCoastal where I also spent two weeks in the Florida Keys. Two seasons later, I took the boat to Provincetown, MA (Cape Cod) for 3 weeks.
When I moved to New York in 1999, I brought the boat to Liberty Harbor, NJ, and during the summer kept the boat on Fire Island, near Sayville, NY (Great Bay, off the South Shore of Long Island). For the last two seasons the boat has been in the same vicinity at Beaver Dam Marina, near Bellport, NY.
Reason for Selling
Due to the complicated logistics of living in New York City, not owning a car anymore, and some family priorities, I have not been able to enjoy sailing like I used to. I have therefore decided it is better to sell the boat to someone that would have the time to regularly enjoy her.
